18th Green Power 50KM Hiking on 29 Jan 2011.
Annual Green Power Hiking evening is usually held in the last Saturday of the January, I used to participate and do remember that I had a team hiking wit Bill; we got team result of 13th ranked. That was not a bad result but that was history, Bill went back US.
This trail starting from the Peak going mostly downward and there is still some ups; the finish point is Big Wave Bay. It takes normally 6-8 hours as an amateur player; less than 4 hours for the professionals.
The fastest record is 3 hour 41 mins. this year, and the faster record ever was 03’39”22 ('10) held by male Davies William.
This year, we had talked about for relaxed Hiking; we had a team of 6 persons to do it on a morning 10 degrees … The Weather was excellent for hiking, and along the way we could see a lot nice and elegant homes in the peak. The last picture shows the the big house of the Macao Gambling Tycoon Mr. Ho.

The Wind carried us down hill when we moved up Mount Phoenix
This is an interesting experience as we could not move up further for sake of safety. As the Wind was pushing us leeward to the cliff of the hill at a speed of 45KM!, after we had managed to claw up 1/3 of the trail up, we decided to moved down hill back to the place where we started.
The temperature was 14 Deg at bottom and 8 degrees at 1/3 of trail, the temperature may be just about 3 degrees at hill top… Temperature is not an issue but the Gale!
We will try next week again!

Hiking from Wong Lung Hang, Sunset Hill to Pak Kung Au in awesome Weather
Chek Lap Kok Village where we passed by before going to the starting point of the Wang Lung Hang Trail
It was 12.3 degree, and I was trying to Practice my Chi Kung.
We came to this trail again as we had not feeling very much enough training before our next challenge to the Mt. Phoenix. We clawed up the Wong Lung Hang in 1 hour 10 minutes and down hill in 25 minutes.
Our Next Target is to complete up and down hill in 1 hour 15 minutes.

Ngong Ping 360 Trail Walk on 1 Jan 2011
This is the hiking we decided to take at last minute whilst we were heading to Wong Lung Hang this monring as it was too cold to go for Wong Lung Hang. My excuses!
Ngong Ping 360 was new to one of our team mates today, so we made up our mind to turn to the path leading to Ngong Ping 360. There is milestone marker indicators to tell where you are in every 2 metres.
Starting form C00-01 to C30. The length of the trail is about 6.8 KM devided into 30 portion so each CXX number indicates approximately 220 Meters.

Hiking from Wong Lung Hang, sunset hill and Pak Kung Au
The weather today was cloudy, 17 degree Celsius, foggy on top of Sun Set Hill.
It was not too cold, dry and cloudy, an exceptional good weather for Hiking.
We took 1 hour 10 minutes going up Wong Lung Hang, and 16 minutes to go from Sun Set Hill down to Pak Kung Au. This is a nice record for me. At least I provide a record that has certain room for further improvement. Today's team mates are George and Lawrence.

Hiking up Wong Lung Hang to Sun Set Hill of Lantao Island
Wong Lung Hang is classified one of the toughest Path up Hill in Hong Kong,
It is situated approx 3 km away from Tung Chung MTR station. There is approximately
1,900 steps up hill. It is tough because of the step is tall like 1.2 foot. Up there we can turn right to the Sunset hill and then jumped down to Pak Kung Au within 20 minutes. The weather is cloudy at about 16 degrees C whilst we were in the mountain. We took this challenge this morning, we started at 0800 and finished at Pak Kung Au at 1030. We will go again with a target completion of 2 hours next week!

10th Participation in Oxfam Trail Walker
This is my 10th Participation for Trail walker, for every year, we had to thumb a index pin on this week on the calendar as one of the most event in the Whole year.
Due to my job is busy and there is not much time is allocated for enough practice regularly. So I had also questioned on myself. “Are you ready for this year?”Finally, we had a series of heavier exercise on of the week ends for the last few weeks,
We had managed to complete in 34 hours, as two of our members had leg injuries and we could not walk fast at all. But we achieved the pre-set target: "to complete 100KM!"
The Weather is good this year, a bit sunshine with temperature ranges between 11 Degrees at night at Beacon Hill to approximately 28 degrees at Sai Shan noon time on 19 Nov.
Let’s plan for another result in 2011.
